Fixed Assets
Register keeping method
In order to monitor efficiently the result of the fixed assets module and capture the operating costs of the company, the method of fixed asset register keeping has been separated.
The Register keeping method parameter has been added. The following two options are available:
The register keeping By Company, which is the default option, concerns organizations which do not monitor all fixed assets’ accounting measurements (acquisition costs & depreciations) by branch, but only depreciations in order to monitor more effectively the operating costs.
In these cases either the acquisition cost or part of the previous depreciations has not necessarily been captured on the same branch. Also, it is possible to transfer part of the fixed asset quantity from one location to another without transferring fixed asset types. For this reason, the Fixed Assets Register can only be kept by the company as a whole and not broken down by branch.
Thus, the calculation process takes into account the data of all branches in aggregate for the calculation of depreciations, however their posted is made at the branch in which the quantity is located for the calculation period. This means that the cumulative value of depreciation of a period can be broken down into many different parts following the branch where the fixed asset is located.
The register keeping By branch concerns organizations that monitor all accounting measurements by branch.
Therefore, it is necessary the fixed asset transfer from one location to another to be done not only quantitatively but also accounting. The Depreciation calculation process takes into account of the data by branch both in the calculation of depreciation and in their posting. In cases where accounting measurements of fixed asset do not reconcile in the branch then the process produces adjusted depreciations, achieving a horizontal reconciliation and keeping Register by Branch.
Fixed asset accounting transfer
In the spirit of the above improvements, the method of calculating the depreciation for the cases of fixed assets credited through accounting transfer using TCM -Fixed Asset Account Transfer document was adjusted.
In such cases, depreciations carried over from one fixed asset to another is the accumulated depreciations until the time of registration of the transport document (TCA). While in the case of partial transferring, the transferred value is the proportionate part of the value based on the quantity transferred. Following the Year-to-Date method, the depreciation calculation process takes into account only the part of the value for the current year, excluding the transferred carry-over value. This method allows the calculation of the "actual depreciation value" of the period to avoid calculating write-offs by achieving a more efficient depreciation of depreciation both on fixed assets and cost centers.
Depreciation calculation process
The period selection criterion has been changed in the Depreciation calculation process dialog. Hence, the UP TO date is set for which the process will be executed, so that it is possible to calculate the depreciation before the end of each period.
Inventory items
Stock distribution in orders
Hereafter, the quantitative fields except for service measurement unit and any other measurement units which are monitored by each item e.g. order measurement unit, reporting measurement units etc. are shown and can be edited in the dialog of stock distribution in orders process (menu: Inventory/ Distribution processes).
In order to activate this option the Open order lines view (area: Reserve available stock) must be customized. This view is the data source of orders for the process. The following fields must be added to the view with using exactly the same name as it is given:
- fItemGID_fServiceMUCode: Measurement unit code, i.e. measurement unit in which pending items are shown.
- fItemGID_fCSInputMUCode: Measurement unit code in which Quantities “TOWARDS shipping” is preferred to be shown
So if the above fields are added, two extra columns will appear in the grid with the order details (in the middle of the screen) and it will now be possible to:
- see the pending quantity of orders in the selected MU through column: DEMAND (Special MU)
- register the quantity towards shipment in the selected MU through column: Towards SHIPPING (Special MU)
Remarks:
- The content of Towards SHIPPING and Towards SHIPPING (Special MU) is adjusted to each change according to the relationship between them.
- The Balances displayed at the bottom of the screen continue to be expressed in service MU.
Progress of orders - Transitions
Henceforth, the quantities can be shown and edited in any item measurement unit different from Service measurement unit that until now was the only measurement unit supported during execution of transitions with line item selection, in the context of order flow progress
This feature is activated with the appropriate changes in the transitions view for selecting line items used in the transition rule. Specifically, the following fields show be added with the code shown below:
- CS_INPUT_MU_CODE. It is the code of the custom Measurement unit in which the Quantity towards transition is preferred to be entered
- CS_INPUT_DECIMAL_VAL_1. The Quantity towards transition in custom Measurement unit (default value in the query: CAST(0.0 as DECIMAL)
- CS_INPUT_REMAINING_QTY. It is the available open quantity in custom MU
- CS_INPUT_SERVICE_MU_CODE. It is the Service MU code
There is no need to convert the CS_INPUT_DECIMAL_VAL_1 and CS_INPUT_REMAINING_QTY field values from Service MU to custom MU at the query level. They are converted by the transition process. Therefore, the value they may have in the query is: CAST (0.0 as DECIMAL)
So if all of the above fields are added, it will be possible to enter the desired Quantity in custom MU in the field CS_INPUT_DECIMAL_VAL_1. The process then converts this value into service MU and afterwards, this value is entered in the transition process that has not changed and continues to execute the pending items in the Service measurement unit.
Item dimensions
In the generic company parameter:
in Document management group, through which the method that the colors and sizes are sorted and shown on the F12 dimension chart in documents. Hence, the Number 1-3 fields of the dimension chart can be selected.
Reports
Hence, the selection of Trade account branch field in the grouping criteria has been added to the 3rd Party Warehouses Overview (menu: Inventory/ Review balances) report. Also, this feature has been added to the available crystal reports and bit.
Imports costing folder
Folder expenses
The folder closing process searches for the expense documents which must be allocated in the folder. In the latest versions in the search for expense documents, it is also includes expense documents subsequent to the closing date. Such behavior is not always preferred, so it can be set at company parameter level if the folder closing process searches for expense documents subsequent to the closing date. The related company parameter is:
| Folder closing => Expenses with subsequent date of the closing date to be included in folder closing |
Can be found in Workflows area.
Pay attention to the default value of the parameter that is NO. This means that if expenses are registered with subsequent date of the closing date, hereafter they are not taken into account. if the parameter value is YES then they are taken into account.
General
Password type parameters
The feature of hiding the type content in investigable string fields has been added to the view designer. So, instead of displaying the content being typed, the character ‘*’ is shown.
To enable this feature, select the set the parameter type to Password.
Payment planning
From here forward, the value of the parameter is not used in the payment planning processes
| Payment planning process =>06. Supplier account field (SUPPLIER_ACCOUNT_FIELD_PAYMENT_PLANNING) |
It is no longer taken into account, since the registration of supplier’s bank account is now being performed by the homonymous new fields in the header and the lines of documents.
If this parameter is used in custom development then it must be changed.
User privilege profile
By using user privilege profile, it is now possible to change and edit the Processing Status in document that does not allow changes due to locks (e.g. they are in closed fiscal period).
