SPEEDY Integration

In this version, there’s the possibility of using the SPEEDY eServices to manage shipments. The implementation was carried out using the SPEEDY web tools. More specifically, it’s possible to:

• Create a new “shipment (voucher)” through which SPEEDY is updated in real time content-wise.
• Timely receive and print the shipments attachment (voucher), as this is issued by Speedy.

Create shipment (voucher)

When issuing a trade document (e.g. Delivery Note - СТР) you can create the shipment (voucher) entry using the Create shipment automation.

Using this action, a new shipment entry is created and the SPEEDY in real time content-wise. In the General – parameter ui the user must declare the desirable date for the shipment. In the SPEEDY transporter info – parameter ui the user selects the appropriate Service from the given list.

After voucher creation, the shipment printout pdf is sent out by the SPEEDY, which is automatically included in document’s attachments.

	Shipment creation concerns specific document types (usually the ones playing the role of a Delivery note) to which the SHIPMENT_TRACKING attribute should be added.

The process is activated only for documents where a transporter has been entered and is connected to the relevant Courier provider.

This connection is carried out through the management screen of the Transporter data (Menu: Configuration and Tools/Configuration/Transaction parameters/Transporters), in the new Courier provider field by selecting the SPEEDY.

Actions on shipments (vouchers)

After the shipments/vouchers are created, the relevant actions (automations) are activated, with which you can contact courier provider and prepare the shipment for this specific document.

The following actions are available on the document screen:

1. Print shipment. Using this action, we can print the shipment pdf, which was integrated when creating the shipment.

2. Update shipment status. The user can be informed on the current shipment status from the SPEEDY service.

3. Cancel shipments. Deletes the shipment created/printed. The action informs the service about the shipment cancellation and deletes only the relevant shipment data from the document.

4. View shipment information. A window appears with the shipment information that’s related to the current document. All the important information pertaining the shipment is visible on the screen, such as Code, its status etc.

   Moreover, the Cancel and Print shipment actions are available on the same screen.

   The print action prints out the relevant pdf on a physical printer.

Shipment management is also possible from the Courier shipment management scroller (Sales / Order Routing/Invoicing). The scroller displays the documents that are part of the SPEEDY shipment workflow, whether a shipment has been created by them or not. From the “Document status” criterium, select whether the document will be displayed with shipment or without.

Using this view, it’s possible to execute the aforementioned actions in mass, for all the selection entries.

Service integration

In order to use the Speedy web services, registering to the service is required, along with the relevant agreement attached. Along with the registration, login credentials will be given. These have to be entered in the Speedy Credentials Management screen (menu: Configuration and tools/System integration).

Attention

It’s already known that the web services supported and provided by the application are limited to the ones that the provider offers. Therefore, there are certain SPEEDY notes that should be taken into consideration regarding the application’s use:

• The document recipient needs to fill in the Telephone field.

• The recipient’s address needs to exist (Address-ZIP code-City combination)

Apart from the above limitations, it should be highlighted that the functionality is available only in installations with an active Entersoft contract.

Parameter panel

Views, OLAPs, Automations: hide “All” tab

In case the parameters of a view, automation or OLAP have been integrated into parameter categories and appear organized in tabs, the additional “All” tab also appears by default, where all of the parameters are found. It is now possible to hide the “All” tab, by disabling the new Show “All” category flag.

If there are parameters with the visibility condition: “advanced”, disabling the flag is now allowed.

The maximum height of the parameter panel has significantly increased, set at 25 lines, in order to avoid displaying the scrollbar, to the greatest extend applicable.

The “Accept” key appears on the left of “Cancel” key, following the horizontal convention to windows environments.

These two main keys are now displayed on the right part of the form and not at the center, maintaining their position in the case of Wizard parameters, as the two indicative examples to the right demonstrate.

Create & edit expressions

The edit expressions dialog has been upgraded and enhanced with a specialized editor, which colors the reserved terms and words appropriately and offers a zoom feature, using the <ctrl> + mouse wheel combination. This renders editing and reading expressions significantly easier.

Indicatively, here are some parts where this specific dialog is used:

• editing visibility expressions in the view column properties

• editing execution conditions in field property profiles

OLAPs

• In the new OLAPs, more specifically, in the drill down feature, the column width has been set to best fit (instead of fit to width) in order for them to be readable at once.

There's now the possibility to bypass application of all formatting determined by the selected style, per table (not regarding the whole OLAP). This can be achieved by enabling the relevant flag in Table properties.

Views:

In the column properties of a view, the check box Context information indicator has been added. By enabling this option, the icon appears on the left of the data of the relevant column, as an indicator that context information has been enabled for the specific column (Preview, Scorecard, Timeline, Gantt chart).

Entity Lists | General Snapshot Dashboard

In previous version 5.0.6.0., a new structure called List snapshot has been added (ES00ListSnapshot, ES00ListItemSnapshot), in which a snapshot of Non-static & Saved lists is stored, and, more specifically, of their Entities during the list Recreation process, as long as the following option (flag) has been activated: Take snapshot.

As described in the document of version 5.0.6.0., this structure aims to support references in cases that use lists. In this version, a general dashboard is provided which displays the snapshots of a list. This includes a grid with the total list entities per time range, as well as the visualization of the information itself in diagram form.

CTI debugging tool

In order to facilitate the detection of problems and their causes when using Entersoft CTI, there’s now a relevant tool that records relevant events in detail. This is available on the communication Toolbar, below the CTI menu.

First of all, select the line / device to monitor in the debugger. It is possible to monitor more than one line / device simultaneously.

For instance, in the following image the debugger is activated for line 100 and line 101, at the same time. By utilizing the MDI features of Entersoft Business Suite 2020, it's possible to effectively monitor the events of both lines.

Collaboration | Chat

Files per chat

In the chat form, in the area where the conversation is taking place, a new Panel has been added, where the files of the selected chat can be viewed. Initially, the panel is closed and can be expanded using the key. The current chat files appear in descending order of date.

• By right-clicking on the list, it is possible to update it.
• By double-clicking on a file, the relevant file opens up to view.

For every chat file, the following information is directly visible: (a) file type (b) sent date (c) file title (which is created automatically as required) and (d) file sender

Additionally...

• Sound notifications have been added, in addition to the indicators in the active conversations list and in the horizontal menu. The sound notifications can be deactivated per work station using , which is found on the bottom left of the Chat view.

• Sharing an OLAP export to Excel is now supported. The OLAP export to excel dialog is available in this case too, in order for the file sent to meet the relevant needs.

Miscellaneous

• In Entersoft Migration (EMI, advanced data import), the preview data feature for data to-be-imported now supports all kinds of sources, regardless of the destination (new / existing table or entity). Practically, this means that the data preview is now also supported in case the destination is a new / existing table and the source is also a table or a question on it.
• In the Users view, column Repeated failed login attempts and finding the user photo in the view question has been improved.

• During the Hot Fix installation, there is now a check to ensure that the application or other EBS applications are not being executed and the user is informed accordingly, in order to close them before installing the Hot Fix and thus minimize the possibility of files not installing due to being in use.
